The 3-inch Pogy is a favourite with flathead fishos and those targeting pan-size snapper in the bays and estuaries. The tail will add a vibrating sound as it falls or rises through the water column. Also, the natural presentation, scent and taste of this soft plastic will attract fish from afar.
Try rigging this soft plastic with a very light jig head, and cast it at the base of the mangroves. Leave for a couple of seconds before starting a slow retrieve. If you feel a knock you should stop for a few more seconds, and then move on. They can also be rigged so that they will slowly sink down beside structure like pylons, rock walls and pontoons.
