Battery died
Had this lantern for probably 4 years but didn't use it a lot in that time - perhaps that was the problem?? Anyway just went camping and after charging it the day before - nothing. You can't use the main light while it is plugged in - only the night light so useless once the battery dies. I think I would have been way ahead buying a couple of smaller led lanterns that run on AA or AAA batteries and forking out for new batteries each time. That's what I'll replace this with.
