Shogun Mono Line addresses one of the biggest disadvantages of using monofilament line - the diameter. This co-polymer monofilament has an ultra-fine diameter compared to other lines on the market.
A thin diameter will help your lures run deeper when trolling, and means that you can fit more line on your spool in case you hook a fish of a life-time. This line is also low-stretch to minimise those annoying slack-line bows in your line.
Shogun haven’t compromised on the strength of this line when setting out to make it as thin as possible. It is extremely durable, which is important when fishing in harsh environments where there are line-breaking hazards such as oyster racks, reef and submerged timber.
Monofilament line is predominantly used as mainline on your reel, but can also be used as leader material if the mainline you are using is braid, and you need a leader with shock-absorption qualities.
This line has a breaking strength of 20 pounds and comes in a 500 metre spool.
