If you are after brown or rainbow trout, the 50mm Squidgy Fish in the rainbow trout colour would be worth getting. Whether you are fishing out of a boat or off the shore, you should try slow-rolling this soft plastic over the weed beds close to the shore.
They should be rigged on either hidden weight or very lightly-weighted jig head, just light enough so that when you pause the retrieve, the plastic will slowly flutter down and sit on top of the weed, not go through it.
If targeting trout in fast-flowing rivers or creeks, you will need to cast upstream and then allow the soft plastic to swim down naturally with the flow of the water, making sure that you wind in the slack line as you go.
