The Squidgie Pro Mongrels and Ridgebacks are a “Pimped Up” version of the popular Squidgie Slick Rig, the team and Squidgie HQ wanted a more realistic lure with a subtle body roll, with added benefits.
The end result was the Mongrel, a paddle tail version and the Ridgeback which is the curly tail version, both models come in a 115mm and a 90mm version in 4 hand picked colours. The design process was long and thorough and the testing in the wild was just as critical, but a little more fun!
Both lures have caught a truck load of fish and with more thickness in the nose for weedless rigging and extra holes for stinger rigs, they proved to be the most versatile soft plastic going around. So from meter Barra to Flathead and Jewfish the Mongrels and the Ridgeback will cover many options nation wide.
