Great Tent Honest opinioin
I bought this tent on sale at BCF for $599, half price so Value was good for me. I originally wanted the RV5 tent but this would have meant me having to get roof racks also which is making this whole camping thing more expensive plus the roof racks were not far enough apart to support without a board or tray. I couldn't find much info on these tents and the review above seemed to me that someone was just a hater because this is a Black Wolf copy. So here is my opinion, This tent fits perfectly in the back of my Amarok (with a tub linear) I set this up in the back yard and slept in it with my kids. This is a magic tent to set up! 2 mins first time and that includes the fly clipping on but not doing guy ropes (thats another couple of minutes like any other tent.) but I was surprised how easily and quickly this setup. This sets up better that the Coleman pop up tents. The bucket floor and canvas body is high quality and is sealed along the stitches, hanging place for lamp at top off roof and power cord hole also a bonus.
I have not been in the rain with this and have taken it camping up the blue mountains also. I gave it a good hose down on all sides to test the canvas for waterproofing, not a single drop inside so I am confident this tent will hold up in heavy rain. This tent is a nice big tent inside and does not lose space inside due to the walls like the RV tents do. we can fit a double deluxe self inflating half foam half air mattress, single swag ant the foot of the bed and a porta cot inside.
Only down fall but I assume it is the same, in foggy weather in the middle of winter alot of dew sits on the fly and when you hop out of the tent in the morning and your head touches the patio (entry cover) water comes through the fly. only at the front though this is not a problem on top of the tent. All tents (made of polyester like the fly do this when you touch the side. there are 3 pole holes for the front patio but only two poles, if it rains you put a guy rope on the middle hole and pull down lower than the pole tis creates a great gutter effect and lets the water run freely of your tent away from your tent.
Tent takes 10-15 mins to pack away by yourself. The bag is big enough and all you do is pull the compression straps tight enough to enable it to fit in the bag. All in all this is a great tent and am very happy with the buy! my wife actually wants to go camping now so very good. only other thing is I reckon this tent could have pockets on ALL corners to put items in but thats only a minor thing.
It is a very good feeling when you set up quicker than your mates do lol. Great buy!
